Ganesh chaturthi in india  Lord Ganesha is considered to be the God who defeats all crises and removes all obstacles.  Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated every year on the Chaturthi of the Shukla Paksha of Bhadramas.  The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati's son Ganesha.  On this day Ganesha is seated in every house.  Apart from houses, pandals are decorated at various places and many types of dish shops are also set up.  After this, on the 11th day, Bappa is fully decorated and sent off with a band.  (That is, the idol is immersed.)
