Be helpful to other

Do you know that:-We need to develop an attitude that shows respect and respect for others in our daily behavior, do to others as you want others to do to you '.  This means that we need to treat all people the same, and not just the people we call our friends.  To understand this, we have brought a short story.

Years ago, in a big city in the United States of America, two men were rushing to catch a train from a railway station. One was a poorly dressed black man carrying two heavy boxes. The other one, a white man, offered to carry one of the boxes.
The black man smiled with thanks and together they hurried to the train, each with a box. Through the years, they kept in touch and years later; George T. Washington became a great educationist and a leader of his race. His helper, Teddy Roosevelt, became the President of his country. This willingness to help was perhaps a harbinger of Mr Roosevelt's leadership qualities.
Another story is told about a farmer whose barn had caught fire. He ran to the barn to let the horses and cattle go free so that they could run to safety. He freed his brother's cattle first and then his own. His brother's cattle were all saved, but there was not enough time to free all of his own cattle. He lost twelve cows in the blaze. Brotherly love was stronger than the call for a personal gain for this farmer.
Charity in our lives may be as simple as helping an elderly person cross the street, aiding a neighbour during an emergency or helping your younger brothers and sisters at their lessons. Kindness and thoughtfulness are good investments in life. They cost nothing but a little time and energy. Yet the rewards are great. Kindness is not easily forgotten.
Rakesh was on his way back to college in Delhi after his summer vacation. While in the waiting foom. he noticed several boys laughing at a foreigner by the door. He went up to the man and asked if he could help .All that the man could say in English was, "Train-Delhi." Rakesh understood and nodded his head. He helped the man find his reservation on the train.
The man thanked him and gave him his card. While on the train Rakesh discovered that the man's name was John and he had come to India on a student exchange programme. He would be studying in the same college. They became good friends and later when Rakesh went to the US for higher studies, he stayed with the man he had helped long ago at the railway station.

People will do the same to us as we do to others.
